Attracting Things into Your Life

It still amazes me that, when we think positive we attract positive things into our lives. Sometimes it is still a challenge for me because I have spent most of my life as a negative thinker. I try to think and visualize the joyful end of most things I know I am going to do that day. I also do this with unexpected situations that come up during the day. If I think about something I want or a situation to happen a certain way and I believe, that is the key you have to believe, then usually one way or another I attract it. Sometimes I have to take some kind of action and sometimes it does not come to me right away, but if I hold on to the belief it shows up most of the time. Of course, you have to be somewhat realistic, especially since you have to believe it could happen. Also it can not harm you or anyone else. The more things and situations I want that show up, the easier it is to believe for more difficult things. This past year, I have had relatively expensive things show up that I did not have to purchase myself. This concept also works with money, especially when it is money you need for something.

Sometimes what I need I already have, but forgot about it. That happened to me with a DVD player about a year and half ago. One night mine broke and it was the weekend and I really wanted to watch the movie I rented. At first I was mad, but after I calmed down I remembered that we had 2 DVD players in a downstairs room that nobody was using. One of them was given to us, but nobody needed it at that time, so it was stored away. I did not think I could hook it up a DVD player myself, but I was so determined to enjoy my night and watch the movie that I brought the best looking one upstairs and was able to hook it up without any problems. The DVD player works so much better than the one I was using before and it was still early enough in the evening that I finally watched my movie. I have had other things like this happen, they are usually little things, but still important to me.

Gratitude is also very important, I always give thanks to God, even for the little things in life.

Sometimes people will try to attract what they want and after a couple of days say, “I knew this would not work”. Their first problem was they really did not believe. Also, sometimes there is a waiting process, a divine timing. Another thing that happens is that they are really having fear-based thoughts.

If you would like to learn more about this process and how to apply it to your own life using simple techniques that can help you tap into the power of believing. Please go to our website at www.EmpowermentConsult.com.

Something I Remembered

I just remembered something that happened to me last year that I wanted to share. I started worrying about a situation that happened to me and my old habits kicked in. I started visualizing the situation turning out really bad. Then I noticed that my heart was pounding faster, my breathing was becoming shallow, and I was really feeling a sense of dread. My thoughts were causing me to go into the fight or flight response. When I realized what was happening to me I stopped myself. I took a deep breath and remembered how our thoughts can do this.

I then deliberately started to visualize the same situation with a positive outcome and I felt 100% better. My heart and breathing went back to normal and I felt calm / peaceful.

As it turned out the situation work out even better then what I deliberately visualized. If I did not stop myself and started visualizing this situation in a positive light, I would have spent the whole rest of the day and night worrying and obsessing about this one problem. When I used to get like that I did not get anything done, did not enjoy myself and usually had a problem falling asleep. That would have been such a waste of time, especially when nothing bad even happened.

Thinking Positive can Change your Life

When you are having a problem or having a bad day and someone says to you “think positive” it can make you feel angry or that they just don’t understand. You might also think, "if you had my problems you would not think positive either". That is the way I used to think. Later on I learned that thinking positive can actually change your circumstances. It can also change the way you live your life and your future. God created our brain to benefit from the positive thoughts we have, certain “feel good” chemicals in are brain increase. The opposite is true when we think negative thoughts, the “feel good” chemicals decrease and negative chemicals increase.

This can be really noticeable when you are really worried about a problem, your brain and body can go into a “fight or flight response". When you worry about a problem a lot of times you will start to visualize the problem having a bad outcome. That goes into your subconscious mind and your subconscious mind does not know the difference between reality and what you are thinking. Your heart might start pounding, your body gets tense, you feel light-headed and you start to feel a sense of fear. The reason this happens is because your mind and body are in the “fight or flight response". Your subconscious mind thinks you are in a threatening situation and needs to get ready to defend yourself or run, but in reality you could just be sitting there intensely thinking about a problem. This constant negative thinking pattern can cause anxiety, depression and low self-esteem.

God also created the universe in such a way that when you are thinking positive you can attract positive things in your life. The same is true when you are thinking negative you can attract negative things into your life. If you have always had money, relationship and/or health problems it could be because you have thought negatively about them.

It sounds easy in theory to change your thoughts to positive ones, but if you are used to thinking negatively, then it is not so easy. We can show you techniques that can make it much easier. Check out our

5 Ways to Make Extra Money

1. Start you own business - Whatever your passion is, with some creativity, you can probably start a business with it. A lot of businesses can be started part-time and with very little start-up. Even if your long-term goal requires you to purchase a building, if you are not ready to do that yet, there might be ways to make money now that will head you in that direction.

2. Sell your unwanted stuff - A lot of us have stuff we haven’t used in years. Craigslist, Ebay and yard sales are a good ways to make some extra cash. There is also an added benefit - your house will be cleaner.

3. Sell your own handmade crafts - Do you like to make homemade products? Etsy is a huge online place to sell your crafts.

4. Get a roommate - if you are finding it hard to pay your housing every month, you might want to consider getting a roommate. Make sure you draw up a lease agreement.

5. Save at the grocery store - Clipping coupons and/or buying the grocery stores own products are good ways to save money.

What You Think About Really Matters

Our brain is a lot like a computer. The information we put into it, whether positive or negative plays a huge role in our lives. This information determines whether we enjoy our lives; whether we are successful in our finances and relationships and the amount of self-esteem we have. When we get enough of the same information, good or bad, it goes into our subconscious mind and becomes our automatic thoughts. God created our brain in such a way that when we think positive hopeful thoughts the “feel-good” chemicals in our brain increase.

Our thoughts also attract things, people and situations into our lives. That is another reason it is important to focus on the positive.
